Metric is a Chicago roaster west of Fulton Market, founded in 2013. The roastery and retail space are open to each other. Inside there are just a few stools, and the patio has about a dozen tables. Prices run high.
The cold brew is a favorite. There's espresso, pour-over and drip. Pastries include Thai tea donuts and asparagus brie croissants. Orders over $75 ship free, with subscriptions.
