Mojo's Java is out of business. Multiple 2024 reviews and a 2025 update from Kiera Easley confirmed the closure, and a 2026 review notes the shop is impossible to find anymore. While it was open, owner-barista Alex ran most of the bar himself out of a small space attached to the Cottonwood/Richardson Antique Mall in Dallas, with about six counter seats, a couple of small tables, and cat-themed art running through the room. The branding was a single-operator's branding. So was the menu.
The Honey Lavender iced latte was the one regulars named. The 254 House Special, the cinnamon honey latte with oat milk, and the dark chocolate coconut latte rounded out the espresso side. Homemade brownies, empanadas, muffins, and Alex's mom's apple rum cake covered the pastry case. An espresso shake was the cold treat.
