About Mountain Thunder Coffee Plantation
Mountain Thunder Coffee Plantation is a family-owned, USDA Organic Kona farm on Hualālai's slopes, about 3,000 feet up in the cloud forest, since 1994. There's a tasting room with free samples and a window into the roastery. Free 30-minute tours run all day, and a $10 nature trail passes lava tubes and ends at an overlook for picnics.
They hand-pick, roast to order in small batches and ship fresh. The Vienna roast and peaberry are favorites. Beans are sold in the gift shop.
