Native Coffee Traders is a small Long Island roaster reaching most of its customers through the website and Etsy. There is no destination cafe attached to the Poospatuck Lane address. This is a roaster-only operation, and buying from it means a box in the mail.

The sourcing leans organic, the batches are small, and the appeal is the same appeal any small Etsy roaster offers: a roaster you can name, a bag that did not sit in a warehouse for three weeks, and a price that lands somewhere reasonable for the size of the operation.

The caveat is shipping speed. At least one customer has waited four weeks with no response to follow-up emails, which is long enough to matter if you were ordering for a gift or for a specific date. The product appears to land in good shape when it lands. The window between order and arrival is the variable.
