New Harvest Coffee Roasters

There's a wholesale program with installation and training. There's a barista course (Enthusiast and Professional levels, taught by Britta and Iz). And there's a bar at night, with a whiskey selection that runs full and live music on Fridays. New Harvest is a Providence roastery operating inside Farm Fresh RI, in a repurposed iron works factory, and the coffee program is only one slice of what's happening in the building.

The roastery itself is visible through interior windows. The giant coffee machine doing its thing while you order at the counter. Rick runs the wholesale side. Espresso program install and training included. Britta and Iz teach customers and would-be baristas through the course program.

The drink lineup is creative. Cereal milk iced matcha is the named one regulars order. Honey latte. Decaf mocha latte. Hot chai latte. Hot chocolate. Berry iced tea. The whole-bean house espresso blend is sold by the bag. After hours, the room turns. Cocktails. Whiskey. Coffee liquor drinks. First dates have been documented turning into evenings here.

The atmosphere swings with the time of day. Industrial-charm bones, community-hub energy by day, bar energy by night. Music can run loud on Friday event nights, which is either a feature or a problem depending on what you came to do. One customer just didn't like the coffee, which is worth knowing because nearly everything else here gets praise. Parking is hard to find on first try (the cafe is hidden inside the Farm Fresh RI complex, separate from the rest of the market).

RISD students cram finals at the tables. Younger professionals roll through after work. Wholesale buyers come in to learn the equipment they just bought. Service polish has been called out a few times. Phone manner gets specific mention. The operation runs on community-hub energy, and the people who connect with that connect deeply.
