Nossa Familia Coffee

Nossa Familia Coffee was founded in Portland in 2004 by Augusto Carneiro, who's from Brazil. It's a certified B Corp, with direct-trade coffee from family farms. The SE Division café is in a triangle building near Ladd's Addition. It's bright, with casual seating, a laptop window, outlets and wifi. Dogs are welcome. Signs share the owners' views. Bring your own mug for a discount, or use the leave-a-cup mug program.

The Brazilian cheese waffles and Bee Sting latte are the signatures. Try the oatmeal latte, a soy lavender matcha or a mocha with chocolate whipped cream. There's a marionberry pastry. Teodoro's Italian Roast is a good bag. They ship from Brazil, Guatemala, Peru and Nicaragua, with subscriptions.
