Nostrand Coffee Roaster

Nostrand Coffee Roaster is a Bed-Stuy café with a full-size roaster right in the dining room. Jiwon and his brother roast fresh daily, and sometimes you'll catch them at it. There's a rotating set of light, medium and dark roasts, each with origin info and tasting notes.

The room's bright, with big windows, wooden tables, plants and a reworked tin ceiling over the seating area. There's wifi, so it works for remote work or a meeting, though tables can fill up.

The menu goes beyond coffee, with classic breakfast items alongside Korean dishes. You can buy bags of their beans to brew at home. Lots of regulars have a favorite roast they keep coming back to. The owners tend to remember names and orders.
