During the holidays the air smells like whatever is rotating onto the seasonal board, and that smell is often what pulls a stranger in off Park Avenue for the first time.

The order is the cold foam program. Coconut cold foam latte is the one regulars name first and the right introduction for anyone new to the menu. French toast coffee shows up around the holidays and pulls people back across state lines. Cookie butter iced latte holds its own when the menu turns toward dessert territory. Any of the cold foam drinks earn the build, and the rotating seasonals make the menu feel different on different visits.

The pastry case is solid. The WiFi works for actual work, which makes this a viable laptop spot for the size of the room, and the parking lot means you can come and go without the usual Jersey shore curbside math. The fix is built in: walk next door to the bagel shop, get a proper sandwich, come back with your coffee. Treat the food as a coffee-shop convenience rather than the meal and you avoid the disappointment. The shop reads as the cafe a smart neighborhood would build for itself, with the seasonal program holding the loyalty of customers who drive in from out of state when the right flavor returns to the board.
