Old Friends Coffee Roasters

Old Friends Coffee Roasters is a small-batch roaster on Belmont Street in SE Portland, with a mosaic mural in the sidewalk out front and art on the walls inside. It's a hub for the local art crowd. There are a handful of small tables and a few seats outside.

They pre-mix their lattes with their own beans, which keeps the line moving. The menu's simple: americano, latte, affogato, soft serve and pastries. The affogato is the pick on a hot day, and the soft serve brings in people who weren't planning to stop. You can buy whole beans to take home.

It's quiet and cozy, and seating's limited, so it's best for a short stop.
