Oregon Mountain Coffee Co. is a family-run shop tucked into a Medford shopping center, recently rebranded under new owners who kept the things that mattered.

The cortado is the order. One regular called it the best in Southern Oregon, and the room doesn't argue. After that, the decaf Americano if you're past your caffeine window. On the pastry side, the Oregon apple bun and the double chocolate chip beef tallow cookie are the two that get talked about. The cookie is exactly what it sounds like and better than that sounds. French toast, cinnamon brioche, and a breakfast burrito round out the morning.

The space is simple and comfortable in a way that takes confidence. Cozy booths, shaded outdoor seating, quiet enough that people read or work without anyone glaring at them.
