Paradeco Coffee Roasters

Paradeco is a downtown St. Pete café with an art deco look: teal and gold, lots of plants, colorful custom cups and a La Marzocco on the bar. Owner Tom and his team roast in-house on a Bellwether roaster.

They focus on single origins. There's an Ethiopian with blueberry and citrus notes, plus Kenyan and Peruvian coffees. The espresso drinks are the main order, and the milk drinks are made with nice microfoam. Bags come labeled with origin, roast date and tasting notes, and the staff will help you match one to your brewer.

The food's health-minded, with plenty of gluten-free choices. Try the cashew kale ricotta toast, the house-made gluten-free pastries, or the Paradise smoothie. There's indoor and outdoor seating, free wifi and lots of outlets. It's an upbeat room, so expect some noise.
