About

The chai is the reason people walk into Pitotti. Regulars call it the best in Spokane, which is the kind of claim worth testing in person, and the order to make is the spicy chai latte with two shots of espresso. Chris and Angela opened the Garland District cafe in April 2021, share the space with The Gathering House, roast their own beans, and run a kitchen that collaborates with other local businesses for the food. They show up at neighborhood fundraisers, which is the kind of community involvement that tells you the operation is built for the long run. The room is large, open-concept, calm, with massive seating spread out across the floor, free wifi, plenty of outlets, and a tone customers reach for words like cozy and serene to describe. There is a super secret menu people order off if they know to ask. Spokane remote workers and students settle in for the afternoon and stay. The drink list past the chai runs deep. Nitro cold brew with individualized service. Matcha latte. Salted caramel decaf latte. A lotus drink for anyone who wants something different. The spinach quiche handles the food slot, with rotating local hot sauces alongside it that the kitchen swaps in from other Spokane producers. On the bean side, Family Favorite is the medium roast everyday bag and Angela's Blend is the one with the owner's name on it. The honest limits are outdoor seating and dogs. There is no outdoor seating in the customer reports. The dog policy is not friendly. If those are deal-breakers, choose another Spokane address. If you wanted a quiet Spokane room to work in, a community-involved shop to support, and a chai that earns the local title, this is the cafe. The spicy chai with two shots is the first order. The nitro cold brew is the second visit. The salted caramel decaf is the late afternoon order. The matcha latte is the variation. Family Favorite is the bag to take home.
