Plowshares Coffee Roasters is on Amsterdam Avenue near 125th in Harlem. You can see the roaster from your table. There's a grand piano, big windows, lots of tables and benches, two restrooms and self-serve water. Wifi resets every 90 minutes. Free live jazz runs Sundays from about 2 to 4, and there's a monthly open mic.

Try an iced Americano, a cortado or a cappuccino. A-Train is the house espresso. There are focaccia sandwiches and piadinas, and pastries come from a Lower East Side bakery.
