Postcard Brewing

Postcard Brewing is about the size of a postcard, with matching views. The Rockaway waterfront spot in Queens looks out across Jamaica Bay toward the Manhattan skyline, sits a few minutes from the ferry landing, and has a retro Airstream parked on site. Owner Terrence is local. His family has been in Belle Harbor since the 1970s and still runs the bait and tackle shop next door, which makes this the rare waterfront operation in New York genuinely rooted to where it sits. The pitch is simple. Coffee in the morning, beer at sunset, drinks under ten dollars, tiki-bar feel on the patio. Pets are welcome. People linger for the sunsets and treat the place as the natural pause between the ferry and the rest of the day, which is exactly what the location was built to be. Now the honest caveats, because they matter and they have stacked up recently. Multiple customers in 2025 reported showing up during posted hours and finding the place closed, which makes Postcard somewhere you call ahead for rather than plan around. One detailed one-star account from a recent visit describes a patio they found run-down, bartender and food issues, and weed smoke during a live band, which is a real account and worth surfacing if you are sensitive to any of those things.
