PrairieFire is primarily a wholesale and office account roaster, and that frame is the most important thing to know going in. Most of the reviews are about delivery service, not a cafe experience, and that tells you what the business does day to day. Wichita offices and retailers stock PrairieFire on standing orders, with named reps who handle the relationships and keep the break rooms stocked.
Brandon, Jason, Shane, and Kendall come up in reviews regularly because the reps are who customers deal with day in and day out. Restocking. Troubleshooting brewing equipment. Supporting business clients through whatever shows up. The named-rep model is unusual at this volume of operation, and it is the differentiator that keeps offices on the contract.
The drip program and the iced tea program are what most accounts run on. The Ozark Maple Walnut is the flagship flavored drip and the one most accounts order by name, the kind of specialty flavor that justifies a switch from a generic office coffee service. The iced tea program is the second pillar and handles the warm-weather demand that drip coffee will not.
If you are a business buyer, this is a serious wholesale operation with responsive reps, and the relationship side of the business is doing real work. If you are a walk-in consumer looking for a cafe to sit in, this is not that and was never built to be. Go in with the right expectation and the model makes sense.
