Red House Roasters Coffee

Red House Roasters is on Mt Pleasant Avenue in Newark, part working warehouse and part café. Richard has been roasting for twelve years, and you can watch him from the espresso bar. There's exposed brick, deep wood and soft light. It's an unhurried place where people journal or sit with a single origin for an hour.

The Jersey Devil blend is the house coffee. If you're curious about processing, ask about the Aponte Honey Processed from Nariño, Colombia. The single-origin lineup includes processed coffees you won't often find in New Jersey.

The latte art is award-winning (think seahorses). Right now, you get a free drink when you buy a bag of beans. They offer a subscription too.
