Red Rooster Coffee Roaster

Red Rooster Coffee Roaster was established in 2010 in downtown Floyd, Virginia (population 432), to roast coffee for the owner's existing coffee house. Its signature blends and many single origins are organic. Non-organic coffees are transparently sourced from estates known to treat workers equitably and care for the land.

Red Rooster composts its chaff with local organic farms. Employees get full health insurance, a matching 401(k) and a family financial assistance program. It sells coffee and a monthly two-coffee subscription online and offers wholesale.
