Restoration Coffee

Restoration Coffee is on Washington Street in Whitman, one of several locations. They roast their own coffee, and the kitchen cooks a lot of food, with plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options that draw people from around the South Shore.

Syrups and cold foam are made in-house. The Courtney latte and the lavender iced latte are the signatures, and the cortado and iced Gabby are popular too. The cold brew holds up well over ice. For food, there's Mediterranean toast, a breakfast sandwich and in-house bagels. There's oat and almond milk.

The room's rustic and indie, with unique décor, plants, small tables and couches. It's good for laptops if you don't mind some bustle, and the patio works for dogs. Mid-mornings get busy.
