Ride and Grind Cafe

Ride and Grind Cafe is a tiny coffee hut, about 80 square feet, in the Ohana Hale Waikiki food truck lot on Kalakaua Avenue. One person takes your order and makes your drink at the window. The hut's painted white, with carved wooden signs and hand-painted murals.

The macadamia nut latte is the local pick, especially iced. The croissant-waffle sandwiches are the reason to eat here. Get the egg one with the house spicy sauce. There's also a cheese danish, an almond croissant, a matcha latte and iced coffee.

You sit at the food truck lot's shared picnic tables. It's an independent, reasonably priced coffee in Waikiki, and an easy breakfast if your hotel doesn't have a kitchen. Parking is hard to find.
