The espresso bar sits at the back of a go-kart and parkour facility. K1 Speed and Grand Prix share the building with ROAMFurther Coffee in Mt. Kisco, and the layout is exactly as strange as it sounds. Kids take parkour classes in one room. Parents wait at the espresso bar in another. Co-owner Nick is the lead barista and the cappuccinos come out in the Italian style, short and dense, with a real layer of crema on top.

The space itself is calm in a way the rest of the building is not. You walk through engine noise and squealing tires to get to it, and then you're at a quiet counter with steel stools and good light. The Wi-Fi clocks around eighty megabits, which is fast, but the seating isn't built for long laptop sessions. The stools are uncomfortable. One customer said so explicitly and it tracks with how the space is set up: this is a place to drink a cappuccino while you wait for a kid's class to end, not a place to camp for three hours.

The gluten-free scones are genuinely good, not the gluten-free-as-an-apology kind. The lemon scone is the one to order if it's in the case. Matcha is on the menu and made with care. There is beef jerky for sale, which is the kind of pairing only a place like this would attempt and somehow gets right.

Westchester locals who want a real Italian cappuccino without driving into Manhattan have a short list of options, and ROAMFurther earned a spot on it by treating the espresso as the main thing instead of an afterthought tacked onto a kids' activity complex. If you've got a child in a parkour class on a Saturday morning, the wait is no longer the boring part of the day. The cappuccino is the reward for the drive.
