Roasting Plant Coffee started on Orchard Street in NYC. This shop is in downtown Detroit. Their Javabot system roasts beans to order in micro-batches and sends them through clear tubes overhead. There are a few tables, bar seats, lobby seating and free wifi.
There are single origins and blends, including Jamaica Blue Mountain and Kona. Beans come by the half pound or pound. There are peaches and cream danishes and lemon lavender scones, plus mochas, chai and hot chocolate.
Since our beginning in the Lower East Side on Orchard Street in NYC Roasting Plant Coffee believes in fresh-roasted coffee technology. Our Javabot™ roasting and brewing system roasts coffee to order under strict supervision of our roast master, in micro-batches no larger then three pounds.From roastingplant.com
