Seven Syllables Coffee

Seven Syllables Coffee is a quiet, minimal café in a corner shopping center on Artesia Boulevard in Cerritos, with a big parking lot. There are five two-tops and a few window seats, and college students fill it during the school year.

The menu's Filipino-inspired. The ube matcha and ube macapuno are the signatures, and the Bourbon Salted Caramel latte is just as popular. Drinks are balanced rather than very sweet. The Maple Latte and White Rabbit Latte are favorites too. Baked goods come from Sunday in June, including a chocolate croissant.

There's wifi, and they won't rush you out. Grab a window seat.
