Sodoi Coffee Tasting House is in an alley off Telegraph Ave near UC Berkeley. Students and faculty like it for the good prices and big drink sizes. The room's spacious and pleasant, with solid free wifi and big tables for laptops and books. Since it's set back in the alley, it's not a sunny spot.

The hand-drip dark roast is the coffee to get. The red velvet latte and red velvet mocha are the signature drinks. There are smoothies too. Flavor pumps like vanilla are a dollar extra.

Weekday afternoons are mostly students with laptops. It's a good place for a long study session near campus.
