About

Walk-ins are not the plan at Stack Street. The Garnerville operation works as a contract roaster and packer for outside coffee brands, which is a fancy way of saying most of what they roast ends up in someone else's bag. One customer wandered in by accident and got handed a free cup by Yehuda, which tells you what kind of place this is when somebody does turn up. Generous. Not performative about it.

The French Roast and the Colombian blend are the two that come up most when customers do name something. Both are available for home brewing if you can get to the operation or order through them. The setup is built for moving coffee in larger volumes to brands that resell, not for a daily cafe customer base.

There is no cafe seating, no atmosphere to describe, no espresso bar pulling shots all day. What there is: a working roasting and packing center on West Railroad Avenue, and a willingness to brew an impromptu fresh cup if a stranger turns up at the door. That's the operation.

Who it suits: wholesale buyers, contract clients looking for a roasting and packing partner, and home brewers ordering online or willing to pick up direct. Not the right call for anyone expecting a walk-in cafe with seating and a menu. Stack Street is set up to roast for other people, and they're up front about it. The free cup from Yehuda is a bonus, not a business model.
