Sweet Bar Bakery is a family-run bakery café in Oakland. It's open, with big windows and seating inside and out. Wifi is hit or miss.

They roast direct-trade beans on-site on a Bellwether, and the Ethiopian medium is a favorite. The croissants are the big draw. Try the spicy smoked turkey on a jalapeño-cheddar bagel or a walnut chocolate chunk cookie. Beans are sold by the pound.
