Taylor Chip's Chestnut Street location in Philadelphia is closed for good. Eli Kimberlin confirmed it in a public review thanking customers, early 2026, and the address shouldn't be a destination anymore. While it was open, the shop ran as a small dessert-focused storefront with a welcoming counter and no real seating, designed for a quick stop rather than a sit-down visit. The pull was the cookies, which drew Levain Bakery comparisons for size and price. S'mores, chocolate chip biscuit, the brookie, the white macadamia, snickerdoodle, lava cake, chocolate peppermint, cinnamon bun. Warm and oversized. The organic ice cream brought its own ideas, with sweet potato pie and honey vanilla espresso among the flavors that got named. Eli at the counter was the personality of the room.
Cookies still ship from the Lancaster location for anyone who built a habit at this address. The Philadelphia storefront is not coming back.
