The Avondale Coffee Club by Reprise Roasters

The Avondale Coffee Club is in Chicago's Avondale neighborhood, run by Reprise Roasters. It's mid-century modern, with local art, murals, vintage touches and lots of light. There are couches, armchairs, tables, counter seats and a patio, with fast free wifi and outlets. In summer, you might meet the owner's parrot.

They roast on-site. The pour-over is a favorite. House syrups include rosemary sea salt caramel and bourbon vanilla, and they're not too sweet. Beans and brewing gear are for sale.
