The Coffee Factory

The Coffee Factory is on State Street, a block from the Newburyport waterfront. It's a counter-service café with made-to-order sandwiches and hours that run later than most cafés around here. They roast their coffee under their own name.

The honey cinnamon latte is the one regulars name first, with the blueberry latte close behind. There's matcha for non-coffee drinkers. For breakfast, try the works sandwich on sourdough or a croissant, and the lunch sandwiches are solid.

It's cozy and clean, with plenty of tables, some close together, and a few seats out front. The wifi's reliable, so people work here, and the open room is better suited to casual calls than formal ones. Street parking gets tight at peak times, and the river's an easy walk away.
