The Local Cup

The Local Cup is a neighborhood coffee shop in Mechanicsville owned by Christian and Jack. There are thick tree-slab tables, armchairs, sofas, community tables, fast wifi and lots of outlets. They host live music and open mic nights, run two coffee trucks and sell beans at the Ashland Farmers Market on Saturdays.

They roast 6 pounds at a time. The house dark roast is a favorite, and there are cappuccinos and a house-made vanilla latte. Scones, blueberry muffins, breakfast sandwiches and gluten-free options are available.
