Trail Coffee Roasters

Trail Coffee Roasters is a boutique roaster in an old pharmacy on Main Street in downtown Stockton, with the roaster behind glass at the back. They used to be Jesus Mountain, in an alley. They buy directly from a farm in Nicaragua. It's warm and relaxed, with low music and wide tables for laptops, and the owner's dog wanders around. Parking's limited.

The Butterfly Latte is the seasonal one to ask about, and the Honey Lavender is a good pick too. The Black Diamond is dark without being burnt, and Fireside is the everyday house blend. The chai comes with a cinnamon butterfly on top. Grab a cruffin or a zucchini muffin. The Nicaragua single origins rotate, and they offer subscriptions.
