Tug Hill Artisan Roasters is in an old jailhouse in Lowville, bringing specialty coffee to the Tug Hill region. There's a bakery attached, and some of the old cells are rented as Airbnb rooms. It's homey, with stone walls, and a patio is being added.
They roast in-house, and the light roasts are favorites. Bag prices are fair. Bread and pastries come from the bakery.
