Turbo Coffee & Cocktails

Turbo Coffee & Cocktails is car-themed across two floors. Sean and his wife own it, the downstairs is the cafe, the upstairs is a lounge that groups can reserve, and the energy shifts as the day moves: laptops in the morning, board games in the afternoon, live DJ on weekend evenings with cocktails replacing flat whites. Ordering is done through a tablet, which works for some customers and bothers others. If you wanted traditional table service, this is not the place.

The wifi password changes daily and requires a purchase. Outlet extensions are plentiful enough that no one fights for one.

The tiramisu espresso martini is the headline cocktail and earns the description. Ube latte, flat white, and rose honey matcha cover the daytime drink lineup. The food menu leans further than most coffee shops attempt: truffle mac and cheese pizza, Sean's Favorite pizza, breakfast brisket sandwiches, breakfast quesadillas, and bruschetta. The pizza is genuinely the food order, not a hedge against the coffee. The patio outside handles overflow when the upstairs lounge is booked.

Daytime lighting is the catch. One customer flagged it as poor for laptop work, which the high-ceiling lounge layout does not fully solve. If you are coming to work for hours, take a window seat downstairs and bring your own brightness.

This is the rare coffee shop that doubles as an evening hangout without losing the morning crowd, and the car theme is committed enough that people drive in from outside Plano to see it.

Tablet ordering aside, the experience is built around staying a while. Games, retro video games, a reservable upstairs, and a kitchen that keeps producing through the evening. Order the espresso martini once the sun goes down. Order the breakfast brisket sandwich before. Pull up Sean's Favorite pizza in the middle of the afternoon when you cannot decide whether you came to work or to eat.
