Two Clay Birds Bakery, Country Market, & Farm is in a former auto parts building on North 2nd Street in Hico. Owners Holly and Kevin bake in-house. It's rustic and family-friendly, and people drive in from DFW. Things sell out early, so call ahead.

The cream cheese and peach kolaches are the draw. The sourdough pecan bread, biscuits and breakfast brisket biscuit are favorites. Sandwiches include brisket cheese, chicken salad on sourdough and chicken bacon avocado. There are cookies and cinnamon rolls.
