U3 COFFEE

U3 Coffee is on Madison Street in Forest Park, next to its roastery, and has a rooftop with music. They air-roast Costa Rican coffee, and it's full-bodied, chocolatey and nutty. Inside, it's dark and warm, with a comfy couch downstairs. Simone and the owners are friendly, there are stickers on the counter, and the day's special is drawn on a whiteboard. Parking is a small $1/hour lot.

The Honey Oat Latte is the signature. The Brew Ha Ha is iced brew with chai. The matcha's excellent, so ask for the creamy version. Chai lattes are popular too. For food, there's an Asian sausage biscuit, Stringold's bagels, a spicy carrot muffin and the Organica.
