Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea's roastery café in Minturn is owned by two local couples, and you can see the roaster from your seat. Faith, Liv, Bailey, Josh and Austin are behind the counter. It's quiet enough to work, with a patio. Skiers stop on the way up.

The café latte is the steady pick. There's ceremonial matcha, a London Fog and a cortado. Try the salted caramel cookies, chocolate croissants or filled muffins. Beans are sustainably sourced and ship free.
