Venus Taproom, Roastery & Pizza

Venus Taproom is a family-owned neighborhood coffee roastery in Sacramento's South Land Park. It used to be called Barrio. There's local art, a piano in the corner and a plant-filled patio, and the wifi is strong. Their site mentions pizza by the slice.

The seasonal lattes are the fun part. The Purple Haze and Black Rose have fans, and the pumpkin drinks use real pumpkin. Lots of people say the chai latte is one of the best in town. The espresso drinks are good too.

The pastries are house-made, and there are empanadas in a few flavors. The "Best Thing Ever" is a croissant-cinnamon roll hybrid that regulars love. Tables are well spaced, and it's a nice place to work or hang out with friends.
