A dollar from every bag of whole beans goes to wounded and disabled veterans. That is the operating principle Merri and her husband built Veteran Coffee Roasters around in Colorado Springs, and the signature blends they roast for nonprofit fundraisers extend the same idea outward.

The room, when it was open, sat thirty-plus customers comfortably. Squeaky clean. Military memorabilia and old paraphernalia on the walls, music and acoustics dialed in so the noise level stayed manageable even when the cafe filled. The FUBAR coffee is the named house pour. Housemade orange cream is the move on espresso drinks, and the seasonal syrups include a spiced caramel apple latte made on request. Mocha latte, decaf vanilla chai latte, and Bulletproof-style bullet coffee with alternative milks round out the regular lineup. Free wifi for the customers who came to work.

The difficult update: multiple recent customers (2019 through 2025) report the location appears closed, with one specifically calling out the absence of an address on Google or Facebook.
