Way Station Brew

Way Station Brew in Berkeley serves New American food and house-roasted specialty coffee. Owner Warren roasts on a Turkish roaster, usually on Thursdays and Fridays. There are communal tables, booths and bar seats, plus a sunny "secret garden" patio out back with handmade redwood tables. Dogs are welcome. Hours are weekdays 7:30am–6pm and weekends 8am–6pm, and there's sometimes live music on Fridays.

The Kyoto cold drip is a favorite. Scones come out of the oven around 8:15 each morning. There's house-made corned beef hash, breakfast sandwiches, and chicken thigh and brisket sandwiches, plus beer and wine later in the day. You can buy beans. Wifi can be spotty when it's busy.
